Bubbi ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you use the Bubbi mobile application ("App") and our website (if applicable).
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
When you use Bubbi, you may enter optional information such as your due date, baby name, diary notes, mood entries, and photos. Heartbeat recordings are created when you choose to record a session.
Device permissions
Bubbi requests access to your device's microphone solely to listen to and record heartbeat audio. Photo library access is requested only if you choose to add images to your Baby Diary.
Subscription information
If you purchase Bubbi Premium, payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Website preferences
On our website, we may store basic preference information in your browser (for example, theme choice) so the site can remember your settings.
2. Photos, images, and visual data
If you choose to upload or capture photos in the App, we use those images to support core app functionality (such as your Baby Diary). We do not perform facial recognition, create biometric identifiers, or build facial feature maps from your photos.
3. How we store your data
Your heartbeat recordings, diary entries, photos, and pregnancy notes are stored locally on your device. We are designed so that your most personal moments stay with you. We do not upload your recordings or diary content to our servers by default.
App preferences (such as theme choice, reminder time, and onboarding settings) are stored on your device.
4. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide and maintain core App features (listening/recording, Baby Diary, trends, reminders)
- Generate pregnancy week calculations, size/milestone comparisons, and session summaries
- Process and manage Premium subscriptions through the respective app stores
- Respond to support requests and improve stability and usability
5. Sharing your information
We do not sell your personal information.
You may choose to share recordings or weekly cards with others using the device's native sharing features. That sharing is initiated by you and governed by the platform you use (for example, Messages, email, or social media).
We may work with service providers to support delivery and operation of the App and website, but only in ways consistent with this Privacy Policy. Where third parties process data on our behalf, they are expected to handle it responsibly.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete certain personal data. If you would like to exercise those rights, contact us at privacy@bubbi.app.
Because your content is stored on your device, you can delete recordings, diary entries, and photos at any time within the App. Uninstalling the App will remove locally stored data from your device.
7. Data security
We take reasonable precautions to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. Please help protect your device by enabling a passcode or biometric lock.
8. Children's privacy
Bubbi is intended for expecting parents and adults. The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
